I cut out the head and five feathers and told the students to draw a turkey face, and 5 things they were thankful for and to draw those five things as well.
First I had the students draw a tree trunk with brown markers and then they used the toilet paper rolls to create different colored leaves by sticking the roll in the bowl of paints. Let it dry, write their name on it, and they have a tree!
• Construction paper (brown, red, white, and orange)
• Markers
• Feathers
• Glue
• Stapler
What I Did:
I cut out the individual parts on the construction paper for the students. Then, I had stapled the turkey body together for them as they colored eyes on the white construction paper. Next, I had them glue the individual pieces on with glue sticks. Then they glued the feathers to the back with the same glue stick.
