Parable of the Talents

Materials Needed:
• construction paper
• writing utensil
• glue sticks
• scissors

What I Did:
I gave students a white piece of paper and cut out the sacks, the back side of the sacks (glued to the white sheet) and a small bar of each color to put under the sack (to make it pop out). The students decorate the top and the boxes with markers or pencils or pens. Then the students glue the bottom part of the sack on the white sheet. Then fan out the small bar and put between sack and bottom part with glue. Make sure to write which talent is which sack before gluing.

Clams with Heavenly Pearls

Materials Needed:
• Construction Paper
• Bead
• hot glue
• glue sticks
• markers

What I Did:
I colored the upper part of the clam first, however I wanted (emphasize creativity!) Then, with glue sticks, I glued the verse to the upper part. (I wrote out the words for the kids so they didn't write too big). Then using glue sticks, I glued a single piece of colored construction paper to the bottom of the clam. Next, I hot glued the bead "pearl" to the construction paper. Don't forget to put your name on it and ta-da!

"I Love God" Hands

Materials Needed:
• Construction Paper
• Pen/pencil
• Scissors
• Glue sticks

What I Did:
I had the kids cut out their hands and then glue the middle and ring fingers down. Then I wrote my name on the thumb. I had pre-cut hearts out for them. I had them write down what THEY love about God (just one thing) and then ghe the heart to the middle of the palm of the hand.

Christmas Light Names

Materials Needed:
• Construction Paper of various colors
• String/Yarn
• Glitter glue

What I Did:

I cut out the lights in construction paper and black pieces for the top of the bulb and the yarn. I had the kids write their names/letters on the "bulbs" with the glitter glue. Then I helped them staple the black pieces to the bulbs. I also helped them sift the yarn through the black pieces to get the bulbs on the string.
